Both abortion and racism denigrate the image of God in human beings, and although I grieve that President-elect Obama will encourage pro-abortion policy, I rejoice that America has moved beyond racial politics. That doesn't mean I won't oppose his policies or appointments, but I do appreciate his election for that reason.<BR/><BR/>I can't help but be moved by those I know who never thought America was their country, never thought they had a real say in what happened in Washington until Tuesday night. A few weeks ago, I sat in the bus where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat.
