Impending Nuptials...!

Well, this is it folks! Keri's wedding day has dawned chilly but sunny. It's actually very beautiful after the rain yesterday, and a perfect day to get married! We are T-minus 9 hours 21 minutes until Prelude music begins. And boy is it gonna be a busy day. What the world I'm doing blogging is beyond me! :) I was already at the desk w/the to-do list and decided to fill in my readers...aren't you honored? So there's hair to be done, four children to doll up, pictures to take (and I promise a future blog dedicated to pics), glasses to clean, music to rehearse, and on and on. Derek is providing all of the reception music in its entirety. Mostly Michael Buble' stuff w/a little Jim Brickman thrown in. I'm joining him on "Quando, Quando" (what a fun song!), and "You'll Never Find (another love like mine)". He's doing several selections for the Ceremony, including "I Will Be Here", "Household of Faith", and "Light in Your Fire" (which he wrote for our wedding). Lauren, Derek and I are singing "Shine On Us" (ala Juwa's wedding!), and she's a little nervous about it. If you think of it, say a little prayer for her nerves....and all of ours, for that matter. As beautiful and weepy as weddings are, they can be a little nerve-wracking too.

So that's it. Just thought I'd report a little before our personal tornado day begins. Happy Saturday to you all! And to all you married love-birds reading, maybe you could do little renewal of those vows. That's what I plan to do today.

Tell Kerri congrats! I don't remember knowing her but I wish I did so I could come to the wedding :-)--sounds so, so pretty. Please do share the pictures and would so love to hear you all sing. I will pray for Lauren today!

I'm sure I didn't read this in time for my prayers to do any good. :-) I'm sure you guys did great though. We sang at a wedding today too. Soooo glad that's over. We are NOT wedding singers! I LOVE Michael Buble'!
Can't wait for the pictures!

You were in my thoughts. Hope the day went well. The music sounds great. Quando, Quando, Quando is truly a very fun song. Also, I love the song Derek wrote for your wedding. I remember being very impressed at the time. :)

Unfortunately, when I think of Derek and wedding music, I always must think of the rendition of Keeper of the Stars that he and Brent so kindly did for Kayla's wedding. It is probably my favorite rendition to date! :)

I agree with Sonja. Next time we are all together I'll have to pull that video out.

I have to apologize for asking them to do that song...but Kayla really liked it at the time..too bad neither of them really knew it:) This memory made me laugh!

Awww, you guys! Derek and I were laughing about that song not too long ago!! So hilarious! Two guys who didn't listen to Country music trying to pull it out of the hat! TOOO funny! The best part was how they just "followed each other" all over the scale trying to locate the melody again! Hilarious! I'm gonna do my best to post some pics today . Love to all!

I really feel as if I need to apologize for ever liking that song. I guess it was the depth in the words. HA!

Now just what is wrong with a song that encourages hat tipping and star keeping and such....ha! lol...don't ask....
