If you were a fly on the wall...

Ah, my friends, how you would have laughed today. Well, maybe not, but you would have had something to say, I'm sure! This morning we lined our 3 older children up across the platform; Cameron began with a scripture reading of Jesus' last words on the cross, Lauren took over with reading about Resurrection morning, and Sophie chimed in with "He is not here; He is RISEN!". Meanwhile, Derek takes little Reagan in his arms and begins singing "how sweet to hold our newborn baby and feel the pride and joy he gives......." and we all sang together Because He Lives. It was such a Gaither moment! I don't know if I could have pulled it off had any of you been in the crowd, but there wasn't a dry eye in the place anyway.

To be honest, Derek was even a little emotional looking over his children with such pride. (Don't tell him I told you, though.)

I agree with Julia: Easter has taken on new meaning for me since becoming a mother. In fact, all our Christian holidays have. Because it's one thing for ME to know what it's really all about. It's quite another to make sure that the message is getting through to our children. So in our house, it has been "Christ is risen: CHRIST IS RISEN INDEED!"

We are finally home from a fabulous Easter dinner at my parents. My mom really does it up right Sunday after Sunday. Puts on a spread fit for a holiday every week, really. But today was especially good. Lots of fattening stuff, too. I will have to be really good this week to offset today's eating.

Well, I'm gonna go vedge out for a while now. I will post some more snapshots soon. And look forward to seeing some from you all, too!

Happy Easter!
Tara

Welcome to "blogosphere", Mrs. Bodacious Bloviater! (Can we make that into a 3-point alliterated outline?) Your blog title is great! I enjoyed reading your blog and looking at your pictures!! Thanks for posting!

Okay, MakingMemories1999: Who the "sam-hill" are you?!?! I cannot access your blog, but it's obvious you're a blast from the past. Talk about MYSTERIOUS!!!!
p.s. I'll have to work on that 3-pt alliteration. If you know my pa-in-law, you know I have a secret weapon! LOL!

I actually thought of your pa-in-law when I wrote that. Good man! Sorry, I didn't mean to be so mysterious (just paranoid), but I'm glad you solved the mystery!! Great to be in touch with you again!!
